Sesame Sugar Snap Peas

This is a very quick and easy gluten-free side dish that has a low glycemic index (GI) and low calories. Sugar snap peas are good sources of vitamin K, B-complex, C, beta-carotene and iron, and sesame contains a lot of B-complex vitamins and minerals.


2 cups sugar snap peas, trimmed
1 Tbsp sesame oil
Dash salt
2 tsp tamari or gluten-free soy sauce
1 tsp sake (option)
2 tsp sesame seeds, toasted


  1. Heat sesame oil in a sauté pan.
  2. Add sugar snap peas and sauté for a few minutes until peas are tender but still crisp.
  3. Season with salt, tamari and sake (if using).
  4. Transfer to a plate and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  5. Infuse love and serve!
