Roasted Asian Sugar Snap Peas

This is a super simple side dish that requires very little work. It’s sweet and tastes really good. I put down that this is for 2 people (could be for 3 or 4 people depending on the amount of other dishes you serve), but I have to admit I ate the whole thing all by myself in one sitting! Please adjust the roasting time. I kept the one in the picture in the oven a little too long.


3/4 lbs (350 g) sugar snap peas, trimmed
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp sesame oil
1 Tbsp tamari soy sauce
Black pepper to taste
Cayenne pepper to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) degrees.
  2. In a bowl, mix sugar snap peas, olive oil, sesame oil, tamari soy sauce, and black pepper.
  3. Spread the peas in a shallow oven dish lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  4. Sprinkle some cayenne pepper on top.
  5. Roast in the oven for about 15 minutes.
  6. Infuse love and serve immediately!
