Mascapone Chestnut Yogurt Mousse

This is a super quick concoction I came up with today. It requires only a few minutes of mixing. I don’t know if I can even call it a recipe. It’s more like a super easy dessert idea. Chestnut spread is often used in France and can be purchased on Amazon. It is quite sweet so you don’t need to add extra sugar unless you have a real sweet tooth. Please try it when don’t want to spend a lot of time making a dessert but want to impress your guests. If you don’t wish to use rum, I suggest adding vanilla extract instead.

Ingredients:

8 oz (227 g) mascapone cheese at room temperature
2 3/4 oz (78 g) chestnut spread (I used one tube)
150 ml plain yogurt
1 Tbsp rum
Cocoa powder for dusting
Chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the first four ingredients using a hand mixer.
  2. Divide the mouse into 4 or 5 dishes.
  3. Dust some cocoa powder and chocolate shavings on top.
  4. Refrigerate. Infuse love and serve!
